Consider A Resolution Appointing A Mayor Pro Tem And A Deputy Mayor Pro Tem.
Body
The City Charter provides that the City Council shall appoint from among the City Council members, a Mayor Pro Tem and Deputy Mayor Pro Tem who shall act as mayor during the absence or disability of the Mayor. The Deputy Mayor Pro Tem shall represent the City at ceremonial functions in the event the Mayor and Mayor Pro Tem are absent, unavailable, or disabled from performing their duties.
STAFF RECOMMENDATIONS:
Staff requests Council select a Mayor Pro Tem and Deputy Mayor Pro Tem, and pass the attached Resolution confirming the appointment.
