BACKGROUND:
The Police Department annually purchases ammunition for training and arming Police personnel. These purchases are made though established State contracts. Various calibers of ammunition are purchased depending on the function in which they are used.
FINANCIAL IMPLICATIONS:
The ammunition will be purchased from budgeted funds for the cost center and amount as listed below.
COST CENTER LINE ITEM BUDGET AMOUNT
POLICE - 201001 60800 - OPERATIONAL SUPPLIES $ 65,000.00
STAFF RECOMMENDATION/ACTION DESIRED:
Staff recommends City Council authorize the purchase of ammunition in an amount not to exceed $65,000.00. These purchases will be processed through various vendors through State contracts.
