BACKGROUND:
The services included in this bid award will provide officials and scorekeepers for all city youth and/or adult flag football, basketball, kickball and volleyball leagues in Carrollton.
Bids were advertised and received on the city’s website, in the local newspaper and on a bid notification website. In addition, past vendors and vendors registered with the Purchasing department were contacted.
FINANCIAL IMPLICATIONS:
The services on Bid # 17-045 will be purchased from budgeted funds for the cost center and amount as listed below:

PARKS ATHLETICS 61190 - MISC. PROF. SERVICES $ 85,000.00
At the bid prices received, the using department will be able to purchase the necessary services within the budget amount of $85,000.00.
STAFF RECOMMENDATION/ACTION DESIRED:
Staff recommends awarding the bid to TJ Sports for an amount not to exceed $85,000.00. TJ Sports has been our vendor for the past few years and also serves as the Sports Officials provider for several surrounding cities including The Colony, Little Elm, Flower Mound and Famers Branch. Traditionally this bid has only received one or two vendors. Per our bid specification vendors are required to provide insurance coverage for the city’s flag football and kickball programs and some vendors were unable to provide the required insurance.
