BACKGROUND:
The reconstruction of the A.W. Perry Addition was authorized by City Council in 2017. This is a NOTICE project. The Monetary Lane reconstruction was approved by the voters in the 2018 bond referendum.

This contract will provide the construction plans for the complete reconstruction of the five streets in the A.W. Perry Addition, including Pear, Palm, Cotton, North Main and Jackson Streets. Monetary Lane is located in the Valwood Business Park.

The A.W. Perry project will include replacing approximately 2,330 linear feet of existing asphalt street pavement with new concrete streets and sidewalks, and new water and sewer lines at an estimated construction cost of $1,600,000. The Monetary Lane project will replace 1,560 linear feet of street pavement and water lines at an estimated construction cost of $1,200,000.

Consultant selection was performed using a request for qualifications (RFQ) method whereby engineering firms submitted a two part statement of qualifications which was evaluated by a four person committee. The top eight firms were selected for projects during the next two years. Teague, Nall and Perkins, Inc. was ranked number six in the selection process.

FINANCIAL IMPLICATIONS:
Teague, Nall and Perkins, Inc. has submitted a proposal to the City to perform the engineering design services for the project in an amount not to exceed $235,650.00. Funding for A.W.
