Consider Approval Of The Purchase Of Seven (7) Chevrolet Colorados For Various City Departments From Reliable Chevrolet Through An Inter-Local Agreement With Tarrant County In An Amount Not To Exceed $159,971.00.

BACKGROUND:
Fleet Services is requesting the purchase of seven (7) trucks assigned to various city departments. Two units are ATB’s previously approved by Council for Building Inspection and the Fire Department. The remaining five vehicles are for Building Inspection (1) and Public Works (4). The vehicles will be retired per Fleet’s policy on age, mileage, and maintenance.
Each of the recommended replacements are being made after extensive discussions with operators and managers to properly align vehicle specifications with current business needs.
Replacement vehicles will be purchased from previously budgeted funds in the Fleet Replacement account. ATB’s will be purchased from funds previously approved by Council in the current budget.

Reliable Chevrolet (Tarrant County Coop) $159,971.00

The trucks will be purchased from budgeted funds from the accounts and amounts listed below.

Staff recommends approval to purchase seven (7) trucks from Reliable Chevrolet through an Inter-Local agreement with Tarrant County in an amount not to exceed $159,971.00.
