Consider Authorizing The City Manager To Approve An Increase In The Contract For IT Resources From Apex Systems Of $90,240 For A Total Contract Amount Not To Exceed $226,480.00.

BACKGROUND:
IT Governance requires a Project Manager to manage projects related to IT “run the business” initiatives and business projects in other departments with IT components.
FY19 funding approvals to Apex Systems have included an IT Project Manager in the amount of $136,240.

o Establish a process for continuously seeking out best practices to regularly evaluate and improve internal processes
o Judiciously invest in technology to improve effectiveness and efficiency
FINANCIAL IMPLICATIONS:
The funds for this item are budgeted in the IT Project Governance Fund (#854105-61190-1203830199).
STAFF RECOMMENDATION/ACTION DESIRED:
Staff recommends approval of budgeted spend for IT resources to Apex Systems on Texas DIR Contract #DIR-TSO-3564 for an additional $90,240, bringing the new FY19 spend to $226,480.
