Consider Approval Of The Purchase Of A Pre-Fabricated Restroom For Josey Ranch Sports Complex From Public Restroom Company Through An Inter-Local Agreement With BuyBoard In An Amount Not To Exceed $467,375.00.

BACKGROUND:
The Josey Ranch Sports Complex was developed in 1986. While fields and other site amenities have been improved over the years, the two original restroom/concession buildings remain in operation and have reached the end of their service life. Funds were allocated in FY18 to rebuild this restroom/concession building. The project was initially advertised for construction in August 2018 but we received no proposals. The project was re-advertised in March 2019, and we received two proposals that were considerably over the $500,000.00 budget. With design/build options being unsuccessful, staff decided a pre-fabricated building may better suit this location and fall within our allotted budget. Similar buildings have been installed over the last few years at Thomas Splash Park, Thomas Baseball, Indian Creek Golf Course, Jimmy Porter Park and Martha Pointer Park.
The BuyBoard price for this building is $467,375.00, which includes construction, delivery and installation. This also includes a 10% contingency.

The pre-fabricated restroom building will be funded out of the following account:

STAFF RECOMMENDATION/ACTION DESIRED:
Staff recommends approval to purchase the pre-fabricated restroom from Public Restroom Company in an amount not to exceed $467,375.00 using the city’s existing agreement with BuyBoard.
