Consider A Resolution Amending Resolution No. 4397 Related To The Purchase Of Certain Properties Owned By Berkshire Hathaway Automotive, LLC. To Clarify The Relationship Between Individual Parcels And Their Street Addresses.

BACKGROUND:
On May 26, 2020, the City Council authorized the purchase of properties owned by Berkshire Hathaway Automotive, LLC. in Downtown Carrollton by approving Resolution No. 4397.
The addresses listed in the resolution were used to describe the site, which consists of numerous addresses for the four parcels that are being purchased. However, some of the addresses for the parcels are different in the Dallas County Appraisal District (DCAD) address database than those in the City’s address database. Both sets of addresses clearly represent the same property. This amending resolution is intended to provide clarity and additional transparency for the acquisition process.
There is no impact on the timing of the closing of the purchase process. Staff intends to replat the property upon closing and establish a single street address for each tract.

There are no financial implications related to this amending resolution.
