Consider Approval Of RFP# 20-015 For Street Sweeping Services For Public Works Streets Division From Sweeping Corp of America, Inc., In An Amount Not to Exceed $80,000.00.

BACKGROUND:
The service to be performed under this annual contract will include monthly street cleaning and sweeping for the Central Business District, certain arterial streets, and five municipal parking lots.
Bid responses were advertised and we received from two vendors.
FINANCIAL IMPLICATIONS:
These funds were approved for purchase in the 2020 budget year for the cost center and amount as listed below:

STREETS - 402001 61190 - OTHER PROF. SERVICES $ 80,000.00
At the bid prices received, the using department will be able to purchase the necessary service within the total bid amount of 80,000.00 for the first year and two (2) additional one- year renewal periods, for a total contract price of $240,000.00.
STAFF RECOMMENDATION/ACTION DESIRED:
Staff recommends an overall low bid award Sweeping Corp of America, Inc., for an amount not to exceed an annual amount of $80,000.00. Proposals were based on the criteria of 75% pricing and 25% on references, experience and past vendor performance.
