Receive An Update On The DART Silver Line Commuter Rail Project.

BACKGROUND:
The design of the Silver Line Commuter Rail Project between DFW International Airport and Plano began in 2019. This is a design/build project and is scheduled for completion in 2023. DART is currently in the midst of the process whereby both design and construction activity are occurring simultaneously.
Carrollton Engineering Department staff will brief Council on the status of the project and discuss progress on the betterments program, Downtown Station plans, Josey Lane bridge, BNSF rail overpass, and the Silver Line Hike/Bike Trail.
STAFF RECOMMENDATION/ACTION DESIRED:
Engineering Staff will provide an update on the DART Silver Line Commuter Rail project.
