Consider Approval For Pavement Marking Project For Public Works From Road Master Striping In An Amount Not To Exceed $200,000.00 Through An Interlocal Agreement With The City Of Allen.

BACKGROUND:
This contract will be utilized by the Traffic Division for pavement marking maintenance at various locations throughout the city. Public Works uses an outside contractor to supplement City forces for pavement markings. As shown in the attachment, we plan to have them complete markings maintenance at 11 locations. They can also be available for unforeseen large markings projects if needed.
Staff is requesting approval and award to Road Master Striping based on Bid# 2021-10-5 Pavement Marking from the city of Allen and by using our existing Interlocal agreement between our cities.
Governmental entities that have an Interlocal Agreement with the City of Allen are authorized to utilize their bid award with Road Master Striping at the same prices, terms, and conditions. Texas law authorizes this process so that our City can save the time of developing specifications and avoid the duplication of the competitive bidding process.
FINANCIAL IMPLICATIONS:
The service on this Interlocal agreement will be purchased from budgeted funds for the cost center and amount as listed below.

STAFF RECOMMENDATION/ACTION DESIRED:
Staff recommends that the best value for the City of Carrollton is to use the Road Master Striping agreement based on a bid award and Interlocal agreement with the City of Allen for the amount not to exceed $200,000.00 annually with two additional one- year renewal periods for a total three year contract valued at $600,000.00.
