Title
Consider Authorizing The City Manager To Execute A Contract With DataVox, Inc., Through The TIPS Purchasing Cooperative For IP Camera Equipment And Installation Services To Be Located At 17 Public Facilities And Water Towers In An Amount Not To Exceed $758,615.26.

Body
BACKGROUND:
The deployment of IP cameras throughout City facilities provides monitoring and protection of critical City owned assets and facilities. Cameras also help reduce risk and provide evidentiary value in the event of an incident on City grounds. The current IP camera equipment was installed starting in 2013 and has reached the end of its useful life with many beginning to fail and/or provide unreliable/unusable footage. The upgrade of the IP camera equipment will meet and exceed the current needs to provide safety and security for these sites.

DataVox Inc. is a current TIPS cooperative vendor under TIPS Contract Number 230105. We have worked with this vendor on several purchases and have been pleased with their services and equipment. Purchasing off this cooperative contract meets the requirements of Texas Purchasing Law.

FINANCIAL IMPLICATIONS:
The total cost of the equipment, installation, and configuration is $758,615.26 which includes a 10% contingency.

The funding for this purchase will come from the - IP Camera Replacement Capital Account, 854105 Activity# 124040199 and other department's capital refresh funds allocated for camera replacements.

IMPACT ON COMMUNITY SUSTAINABILITY:
This project aligns with Council goals and objectives by operating the city government as a customer service business and promoting and reflecting a positive image of our community. Uninterrupted connectivity to city locations ensures that residents can access essential services and promotes the city's growth and development.
