Title

Consider A Resolution Amending Resolution No. 4754 To Allow The Total Funding Amount Of The Metrocrest Contract To Be Determined By Council Each Year.

Body

BACKGROUND:

The City of Carrollton funds various nonprofit organizations throughout the community through its Community Funding Grant Program.  On September 12, 2023, the City of Carrollton approved its Fiscal Year 2024 Annual Operating and Capital Budget. As part of this, Council appropriated recurring funding for a service contract with Metrocrest Services Inc. (“Metrocrest”) The contract was established for a one-year term, with two optional one-year renewals. On September 10, 2024, Council approved a one-year renewal term for Metrocrest and increased the funding amount to $511,424 for Fiscal Year 2025. The amendment also updates contract language to allow the total funding amount to be determined by Council annually.  The contract is currently in the first of its two one-year renewal terms.

FINANCIAL IMPLICATIONS:

The amount was approved as part of the FY 2025 Adopted Budget and is part of the City’s General Fund.

STAFF RECOMMENDATION/ACTION DESIRED:

Staff recommends City Council approve the Resolution authorizing the City Manager to amend the FY24 Contract with Metrocrest and to allow the total funding amount to be determined by Council annually.
