Title

Discuss LEED For Cities Gold Certification And Program.

Body

BACKGROUND:

Staff will provide a presentation outlining the City’s recent LEED for Cities certification, including an overview of the program, the steps taken to complete the submission, and the results achieved. The LEED for Cities framework, developed by the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC), evaluates local governments on sustainability performance across key categories such as energy, water, waste, transportation, equity, and quality of life. After a one-year effort to compile and report this data, the City of Carrollton was awarded LEED Gold certification in April 2025, recognizing its commitment to environmental stewardship and community sustainability.
