BACKGROUND:
The City of Carrollton has an existing contract with Dallas Harmony Construction, LLC pursuant to RFP 24-020 for the renovation of Rosemeade Recreation Center. Work included updating floors, doors and the glass wall to current industry standards, as well as reconfigurations of the gym area to allow for volleyball and basketball to be played concurrently.
We are asking for the proposed change order to accommodate the increasing workload, increasing materials and labor pricing that is required to level the base casings of the new glass wall to refit the doors.
The current proposed change order will increase the cost of the project by $9,970.00 for a new total of $411,970.00.
FINANCIAL IMPLICATIONS:
To ensure there is funding available to continue the services, this change order consists of an additional $9,970.00, which increases the current contract to $411,970.00. Funding is available in the Parks Consolidated account, 854360-122480399.
STAFF RECOMMENDATION/ACTION DESIRED:
Staff recommends that City Council authorize the City Manager to execute a change order to the contract with Dallas Harmony Construction, LLC for additional repairs at Rosemeade Recreation Center increasing the contract by $9,970.00, for a new total amount not to exceed $411,970.00.
