Case No. PLSUP 2024-183 Claw Mania Kingdom Arcade.

BACKGROUND:

The request is to approve a Special Use Permit (SUP) to allow an amusement arcade (excluding adult arcade) in a 3,400 square foot space at 1012 MacArthur Drive, in Suite 124.

On April 1, 2025, City Council approved Case No. PLZ 2024-181 changing the base zoning from (O-2) Office District to (LR-2) Local Retail District.  The (LR-2) Local Retail allows an arcade with an approved SUP. 

One public comment card was received, in opposition.

FINANCIAL IMPLICATIONS:

There are no financial implications on the current and future operating budgets regarding this request.

 

STAFF RECOMMENDATION/ACTION DESIRED:

On April 3, 2025, the Planning and Zoning Commission recommended APPROVAL of the request. Staff recommends approval. 

 

The attached ordinance reflects the action of the Commission.
